DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PUTTING ON YOUR SKIN?
Since I have always been a “crafty” sort of person, I was not satisfied with just doing my photography, and decided that I wanted to get into natural body care products. This is where I found my niche. Making natural soaps, lotions and more, I found that my skin responded so well to the healthy things I was now using on it. While researching and learning about what is good for your skin, I discovered that most of the commercial products are not made using beneficial oils and butters, but chemical detergents! Detergents that strip your skin of its natural protecting oils, detergents that dry your skin. In commercial lotions, I found that the main ingredients such as “propylene glycol” which is commonly found in anti-freeze and brake fluid!* and “Paraffinum Liquidum” which basically is a wax, and so many other “ingredients” that I could not even pronounce, but when researched, very little were natural emollients. That’s when I began to make my own.
